My kids can hardly wait for the return of our Elf on the Shelf. His name is Joey and he loves to hide in our home, bring small gifts (if the kids are good), and cause a little mischief. Although Joey arrived a few days ago, he waited until today to bring our annual Christmas Elf Breakfast.
This year his breakfast featured homemade blueberry scones and the kid’s favorite breakfast treats: Hostess donettes. (Don’t judge!) What made our breakfast super special this year is our Elf Joey is super crafty (and resourceful too). He worked with the wonderful people over at Create UR Plate and used the custom plates for our annual breakfast. If you haven’t heard of Create UR Plate, you’re seriously missing out on a FUN way to create custom plates for any event. Make one set of plates perfect for any occasion with the unique Plate-Ables™ system.
Switch up glass plates with reusable Plate-Ables™, or create your own personalized disposable plates with ease. Or if you’re not super crafty, you can choose from hundreds of designs that they have available.
For our breakfast, I used two of their standard Christmas designs and created one of my own. Since I didn’t have the plates, I ordered a set of those too (which I won’t have to do in the future). The ordering process was really simple and the shipping was fast. (Be sure to check out the FAQs before you order – they’ve answered every question that I could come up with)
After the kids got over their excitement about Joey bringing donuts – they loved their plates! And when I told them that we got to keep them and that we could change the vinyl any time we wanted (and to anything we wanted), they literally started jumping up and down!
Being the crafty Elf that he is, Joey brought our annual Christmas Jammies…which will be perfect for the Polar Express trip that we are taking next week! Now if only this NorCal rain will hold off until after the trip!!!
If you’re interested in learning more about adding these cute plates to your next event (hello: gift giving? Plates of cookies for the neighbors? A fun plate for your child’s teacher?), please be sure to visit them at Create UR Plate and follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
